Hi, I’m an aspiring comic book writer/illustrator in college! I new as soon as I saw your cover that we have very much the same style and love for dark humor! I’m wondering if you have any advice??? I’m converted my room into a home office with pages hanging everywhere, I have my idea and story down cold, I’m having trouble getting the comic started though. I would love your expertise!

Much thanks for mentioning this – I really enjoyed the story! I’m not into zombies either but Ms. Hicks’ take is fresh. I’m looking forward to reading more of her work.

Hicks is great! I read Zombies Calling when it was released and fell for Hicks’ style. She’s on my short list of OGN creators to watch out for.

Oh, that’s awesome! I’m so glad you liked it! … kind of a surprise, but I’m very pleased you enjoyed it.

I’m working with First Second Books now, so hopefully you’ll get a chance to see my next project, which isn’t out until 2010 (so far away).
