The direct market retailer trade group ComicsPRO has teamed up with Top Cow to give away their comics.

60,000 comics will be given away, with a different set of member stores participating each month. Here’s February’s list of stores where you can get The Darkness #75 for free (while supplies last).

If you don’t live in one of the 19 states featured, then it’ll cost you $5, since it’s a special anniversary issue. If I cared at all about this title, I might be upset — why should only some customers get the bonus? On the other hand, if they gave away the comic to everyone, people wouldn’t consider it anything special. And moving the giveaways around allows Top Cow to get more bang for their buck.
