Why Posting Has Been Light Lately

KC and I just got home from the hospital, where he’s been since Wednesday. They think he had a mini-stroke, which would explain his vertigo and dizziness (even more than usual). Here he is getting his brain scanned, one of the many tests they ran. (The dots are electrodes.)
He said it was like watching the best Pink Floyd laser light show. He’s fine now but still resting up. Just in time for me to feel like I’m coming down with a cold.

If he liked the light show, he should try it with the Vicodin.
Of course, for the full effect, he should drop a tab of Cialis.

I love how savvy you two are. We are FREAKED out about KC upon reading the first paragraph of the post only to be greeted by a shot of smiling KC. Really Draper Carlson, only you would show folks how to properly inform folks of a loved one’s welfare, explain the site “technical” difficulties and provide perfect supporting graphic illustration all in one post. You are in my prayers and I hope the adrenaline connected to your stress of KC in the hospital will knock that ill-timed cold on its ass.

Thanks for all the good wishes!
I’m doing well. I was very lucky! I can still walk (slowly) and talk. Stairs and typing are still a challenge, though. Anxious to start PT this week.
Johanna was the real hero, though. Somehow she managed to ignore her own illness to take care of me, and put up with a lot of crap to do it. She’s the most amazing person – and best partner! If she’s not around here much this week, it’s totally my fault. She finally crashed early tonight – with the worst cold!
She’ll be back soon! And me not far behind.
Thanks again from both of us and please remember to take care of yourselves! And each other!
