Thanks, Kelson, for the Premio Dardo Award

Kelson Vibber, writer behind SpeedForce.org, the premier Flash fan site on the net, has received the Premio Dardo, a kind of pass-it-along tag for blogs you enjoy.

The description says it’s “designed to recognize unique voices and visions on the web as well as to promote fraternization amongst bloggers of all sorts.” I’m honored to be selected, but I’m afraid I’m going to be one of those people who ignore the “select 5 (or 10 or 15) more blogs to receive it” part.

I really just wanted an excuse to point out SpeedForce.org. I learned how tricky it was to do web material focused on just one group of characters back in the AOL chat days. (“Why doesn’t (my favorite DC title) have a weekly chat devoted to it?” “What are you going to talk about the weeks that that book doesn’t come out?”) That Kelson pulls it off is a tribute to his hard work and knowledge.

    Thanks for the shout-out!

  2. James Schee Says:

Ahhhh!! Sorry flashbacks from my days as a host for some of those AOL chats. I look back now and wonder how on Earth I found the time to do those every Monday and Tue. night.

I did make some great friends though. I miss talking with Jeff Moy and Tom McCraw especially, as well as some of the fellow fans who were regulars as well.
