To coordinate with the upcoming Middleman DVD set, TV Guide is reporting that
The Middleman: The Doomsday Armageddon Apocalypse — not much hyperbole there! — will be penned by executive producer Javier Grillo-Marxuach (the auteur of the Viper Comics graphic novels on which the TV series was based) and Hans Beimler, with illustrations by Armando M. Zanker and layouts by Les McClaine.
The book is due out in July, in time for the San Diego Con, and it’s being described as a “proper finale” to the series. On the one hand, yay, more stories. On the other, “finale” sounds so … final. I still have hope for the series discovering its audience on DVD and possibly returning. I would love to see more.
Update: Here’s some character design art, and the creator answering some FAQs.
