About NG Life...
I believe the intention was "shounen ai" rather than "yaoi" at all; "yaoi" is a bit strong of a term.
From reading the story, I got that part of it is actually about finding out whether his past is or isn't a delusion. Keidai's character probably makes us believe that he's hallucinating, since he's stereotypically the idiot. However, the possibility that his past life is part of the plot shouldn't be ignored. It is a fantasy genre, after all. I'm pretty interested to see if their past lives actually happened.
Also, about the play... I actually think there was some plot behind it. I thought that the friendship between the three main characters became more recognizable, as a result of the play.
I guess that's just my opinion; it seemed to me that the review was sort of unfair, so I had such an urge to comment. I've got sentiments for characters going through nostalgia anyway, which is why I like the story although it's simple. :P

Wow, I can't believe that Tokyopop let the price of their manga go up without improving the overall quality of it.
