Thanks to a work trip, in two weeks, I’ll be attending the Emerald City Comic-Con. I’ve heard good things about the show, and I’m excited to check it out for myself. (Although sadly, since flying across country takes so long, I’ll be there Saturday only.) I’ve never been to Seattle before!
Are you going? What should I make sure to do at the show?

I’ll be at the show so the first thing you should do is go to the A Wave Blue World table. But other than that, it’s a great show with a simple floor plan that easy to find your way around. It seems like everyone there is on an equal level with each other and that’s it’s one big community of comic creators, publishers, and fans (and press). I’m sure it’s just going to get more popular from this point out.

Cool, I’ll be sure to say hi!

I’ll be there in the Artist’s Alley, so be sure to stop by and say “Hiya.” As for Seattle itself, I’d say be sure to go to the Pike Street Market, and go when you’re hungry. Just nibble your way through the place.

[...] how this snuck up on me. I probably wouldn’t have noticed until Johanna Draper Carlson of Comics Worth Reading mentioned it on her blog. If you’re in the Pacific Northwest, mark your calendars for April 4 [...]

It’s Pike PLACE Market, actually. But yeah, check it out.
Taking a ferry ride is fun and cheap, too. A great way to see the city.
I don’t know how much tourist stuff you feel like doing, but the Underground Tour in Pioneer Square is fun, too. It’s a guided tour through the original city, located underground. The tour is really funny and informative about Seattle history.
