It's Pike PLACE Market, actually. But yeah, check it out.

Taking a ferry ride is fun and cheap, too. A great way to see the city.

I don't know how much tourist stuff you feel like doing, but the Underground Tour in Pioneer Square is fun, too. It's a guided tour through the original city, located underground. The tour is really funny and informative about Seattle history.

I'll be there in the Artist's Alley, so be sure to stop by and say "Hiya." As for Seattle itself, I'd say be sure to go to the Pike Street Market, and go when you're hungry. Just nibble your way through the place.

I'll be at the show so the first thing you should do is go to the A Wave Blue World table. But other than that, it's a great show with a simple floor plan that easy to find your way around. It seems like everyone there is on an equal level with each other and that's it's one big community of comic creators, publishers, and fans (and press). I'm sure it's just going to get more popular from this point out.
