Heh... ^^;

I just re-read Darling (the french edition) and it really is laugh-out-loud hilarious and really odd at the same time.

BTW: Viz says they have another series by the author of Darling scheduled to come out late this year. Not as over-the-top weird (yet, as of vol.2), but still quite funny.

Yeah, if this might be the last bunch, at least they went out with a bang. And it makes sense (at least to me) to swap roles in stories aimed at women.

I've never heard of the story you mention, but yeah, I'd love to see more mature translated storytelling.

Ha! That "Luv Luv Press" preview is a lot nicer than the other similar ones I've seen that you've also reviewed. I like the perspective of the girl being the more aggressively sexual one and the man wanting the maintain the supposed "purity" of their relationship. It's a twist that's rarely remarked upon in popular entertainment but not necessarily uncommon in real life. The art, however, especially the faces, doesn't have much subtlety, which takes away from some of the overall enjoyment of the story.

I would be really, really happy to see these people translating "Darling wa Namamono ni Tsuki". A lot of these manga they're translating still skew pretty young, feeling more like first relationships than people who've been in long-term or multiple relationships. Women and men who have actual experience and don't shy from being open about their sexuality and communicating their thoughts and feelings.

Someday . . .
