Marc Guggenheim’s Resurrection series, about humans coping after an alien invasion leaves, is relaunching in June.
The collection of the first series has just been released. Six issues and an annual for $6 is an excellent deal — check out a preview at that link. Plus, you’ll be hip; it’s in development as a movie. Here’s the publisher’s plot description:
[A] science fiction epic that explores the aftermath of Earth’s most brutal conflict. For ten years the alien invaders have laid waste to our planet, but now they’ve vanished, leaving the survivors with two questions — “Where did they go?” and “Where does humanity go from here?” It’s existential questions with alien-fueled intrigue.
Tomorrow, Free Comic Book Day, the series restarts with Resurrection #0, a full-color, stand-alone introduction. The new series has the same premise as the previous but follows a different group of survivors, illustrated by new artist Justin Greenwood. Issue #1 debuts on June 10.
