Surrogates, the movie based on the Top Shelf graphic novel about people who live through robot bodies, now has a trailer available. It’s surprisingly cool. We knew Bruce Willis does action well, especially as someone who’s not quite sure he wants to be there, but I was impressed by the special effects and the shot where everyone else around him drops (because all the robots are deactivated). I think it does a good job explaining the premise and setting up the viewer’s curiosity. (The “younger” Willis looks to me a lot like Michael McKean, strangely.)
There’s also a concept website. The movie is scheduled to open in late September.
