Except for the fact it is a synonym for “Assassin”.

Because Elliot isn’t a killer, not in the G-rated setting of the show, not even in the implied reality behind it. He is “Last Man Standing” – he goes into a place, beats down everyone else, and then walks off with what he was hired to get.

But I guess “Hammer” is too Jewish.
