Because they have exhausted other mediums and feel that they need to push their crap wherever Twilight tweens might be, just in case they haven’t heard about it yet, not likely since it’s literally everywhere that sells any form of media entertainment, clothing, and recently as Burger King has shown us, even food. Apparently, if the entertainment source doesn’t have Twilight, it needs a good dose of sparkly fairy-in-denial crap thrown in. Yea I acknowledge that it’s popular, but come on, there’s a line between advertisement and just shoving it down people’s throats everywhere they turn, and Twilight has not only crossed that line, it has obliterated it.

Manga fans endure enough blind fangirl-ing as it is. You stay on your side of the wall, thank you very much. We already have our sparkle-tastic vampire romance series. No need for more.

If I see one of these books at a bookstore, I’mma chuck in in the trash where it rightfully belongs. Or a fire pit.

That you would use the word “rape” to describe a licensing deal suggest you need to get a sense of proportion. A successful property wants to expand into a new medium. It looks awful, and you’re not interested. What do you care? Getting upset over this is like getting upset that they make Transformer toys AND cartoons AND movies AND comics.

It’s actually a compliment to manga readers, I think, that it’s considered a successful enough venue to target.

And the last safe medium that wasn’t Twicrap infested is raped….*sigh* this is an insult to real manga readers, it’s already a poorly written book, why does it hafta be a poorly written crappy manga too? Anime/manga and Twilight shouldn’t mix, and Twilight needs to die already and stop pushing itself into every entertainment media it can find like an attention-grabbing whore.

Wow. You know, the sad thing is, I’m kind of interested in buying it. Not exactly sure why everyone’s upset about it. My friend reads manga religiously, and she’s all pissed off and mad. Though, she’s pissed off and mad that the only manga I read is Tokyo Mew Mew…so, go figure. :/

Hey guys here is my two cents. This a great idea… until I say the can of art and slicked back hair. I was really SUPER hoping for this — Edward. I’m sorry but this new Ed can’t compare…

I’m usually not the ass, but I just want it stated. Ed’s not hot enough and Bella looks to over done pretty. I like this style -http://www.flickr.com/photos/hvyilnr/sets/72157606676120120/- and that will and forever shall be Edward for me. I’m just one of those old school fans of Twilight who is now wishing the movies never came out. Good book series; should have ended there.

I might read this out of sheer curiosity. But I will NEVER think of him as the real Edward.

Honestly, I’ve seen some of the artwork for the Twilight manhwa, and it’s pretty decent. In fact, Edward looks like how we envisioned him in the books — tall, brooding and handsome. (Doesn’t explain Bella’s goddess-like beauty though =_= She’s an average high school student for heaven’s sake!)

Still, having Twilight try to saturate itself into the manga/manhwa market seems like a killjoy because right now Vampire Knight is monopolizing the vampire-romance genre. There’s bound to be more comparisons between the two now, but Vampire Knight takes the cake for the better plot, characterizations and treatment of the love triangle.

Though, we’ll judge the manhwa by itself when it comes out =/
