Unfortunately, I can see why execs at DM might think this is appropriate for the business. Some people out there seem to think “the entire manga community” likes this kind of thing to manga about adults for adults.

Meanwhile, maybe some execs at DM think romance won’t sell unless it’s forbidden-fruity enough? Like if Millenium Prime Minister was about a 36-year-old woman who doesn’t live with her relatives/have a curfew/look prepubescent/whatever, and about a 45-year-old prime minister, they’d call it “boring and vanilla” or something instead?
