My understanding is that the DVD will be an adaptation of JLA: Earth-2, which featured Grant Morrison’s re-imagining of the Crime Syndicate of America.

This other evil Earth was dominated by facism and borrowed elements of the Silver Age’s Earth-A, Earth-3 and Earth-X.

Batman: The Brave & The Bold had a similiar storyline featuring dark/evil versions of other characters such as Plasticman.

Give us The Dark Knight Returns already!

Hot Damn! I haven’t even gotten Green Lantern yet–I will rectify that soon I expect, and I am already salivating about Public enemies (let’s hope it’s more entertaining than this summers live “action”–I use that term loosely–Public Enemies movie. Now, I can begin to countdown to the DC Universe movie I have most been looking forward to– (until they pull their heads out and do the New Teen Titans movie version of the Judas Contract!)hopefully bringing in the JSA. Yes!!!

Hm. Wonder if it’ll be a straight-up adaptation of Crisis on Earth One and Crisis on Earth Two or if it’ll be an original story in the same vein. (The Justice League cartoon had a pretty decent version a few years back, but wasn’t allowed to use any of the JSA characters — the upshot was that they got to kill everybody off at the end.) Either way would be pretty swell.

Yeah, the extras seem awfully anemic. Really, I’ve found most of the DCU vids to be good rentals but the only one I’d want to own is New Frontier. (And I’d want to finish filling out my Batman Beyond and Justice League collections first.)
