I love love love this show but some of their comic book conversations are not entirely accurate.

Superman could not be defeated by orks just because he's vulnerable to magic. He'd be vulnerable to a magic user such as a wizard sure, but orks were just made with magic, they can be mowed down with a normal sword, they're no threat to him.

I thought Sheldon's debate with Stuart over who should be the next Bataman (I guess it was episode 20, since that was the one with too many references to tackle) was also pretty impressive. It aired in the spring before DC revealed who it would be so it was very timely and it addressed both sides of the argument accurately.

Thanks, Silkysoul. I was afraid, when the refs kept piling up, it would get boring. I'm glad the post worked so well for you. And thanks for the link, Bluedog.

Argo, ha ha! I hope at least you like the recommendations.

Usually, the essence of a thing is diluted when an individual tries to "summarize" the description of it. However, you've actually retained the beauty of "The Big Bang Theory" by highlighting the comic-book reference moments. I had several pleasant flashbacks!

The "villans with advanced degrees" dialog had me LMAO inside cuz I'm can't do it for real right now. :-D

Your influence in my household grows every month. Now beyond moving me outside my comfort zone by reading Lucy Knisley travelogues and the occasional manga (I like the one about food), you have also enticed me with this post and the season two review to add Big Bang Theory to my Tivo list, which will make Mondays very crowded with Castle and MNF. The taking both GLs down with a number two pencil is a brilliant line. However, it is not simply the comic references that make this intriguing for me, but that in reading them I can tell this is a well written show. I'll let you know what I think of it when the new season begins.

And as if influencing my reading and TV watching isn't enough, I am trying your pork BBQ recipe this weekend. Your power over me is growing...
