Noah Berlatsky, who has been posting an issue-by-issue blog examination of classic Wonder Woman comics, will be lecturing in the Richmond area on October 28. “Bound for Feminism” will cover “Wonder Woman as fetish object, crackpot fever dream, and feminist icon” (and presumably, bondage image) as part of the course “Wonder Woman and Beyond: Extraordinary Women in Theatre and Comics”, taught by Asian Studies Professor Todd Munson and Communications Studies Professor Marilyn Mattys. The free public event starts at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Randolph-Macon College (Ashland, VA). That course sounds really cool.
