Although we're getting off the subject, there is apparently a new company that just happens to be called Audiocomics who are going to be doing radio drama versions of books. Found them on Robot 6:

Mmmm.... audio comics....

D'oh!

Faced with a three-hour commute every day, more than one person thought I might wish for audio comics.

Uck. Although I got stuck at the idea of trying to make audio versions of comics -- that seems to be very much missing the point.

Johanna:

You have seen this, then, right? From the Will Eisner Estate (the Carl is, I think, Carl Gropper):

Hey Guys,
Digital audio books are no longer restricted to cassette tapes and can be downloaded to almost any computer, mp3 player, or cell phone. Besides being a great time saver, they are used by many blind people and people with limited eyesight. While considering that, think about how audiobooks could be used for Comics and Graphic Novels? Help by posting your ideas on the new Audiobooks topic in the Forum! The person with the best idea will win a FREE Signed and Numbered hardcover copy of one of Will Eisner's Children's books.

Thanks,
Carl

Any ideas will become the property of Will Eisner Studios, but if anything comes of your idea we will donate auudiobooks to the non-profit organization, Recording for the Blind.

"Any ideas will become the property of Will Eisner Studios?" Give up your copyright and presumably IP? Eisner fought for creator rights! Are they that desperate for money after the fall of the "Spirit" movie?
