Moritheil,

It was great meeting you too and getting some time to exchange ideas.

I think we're on similar wavelengths. One of the panels I would like to do is a reviewer's panel, where we would discuss how we got into reviewing, how we approach a book we're going to review (do you take notes while reading it, do you read it more than once, you write the review immediately after reading it, etc), are there books/genres we won't review, what experiences/education do you see as important to your reviewing process, where are you strongest as a reviewer (plot, characterization, art, etc.), and where do you feel you need to improve as a reviewer. If you're already putting this together, then I'd be honored to be a part of it if possible. (Heck, I'd be happy just to sit in the audience and listen to that kind of discussion.) There's no need for two panels covering the same material. My thoughts are to do one at Otakon and one at NYAF each with different people.

I've fallen behind in my Miyazaki reading, but hope to finish the book this week.

Interesting. The idea I came away with was to make a 'Meet the Critic' panel, not so much to discuss ways of blogging as to make existing bloggers (and their biases) known quantities.

Incidentally, I got full footage of the Tomino keynote, in case any of your readers are interested, and the aniblogger panel (which should be rendering right now.)

It was great meeting you at NYAF and talking about Miyazaki's book!

Narutaki,

I hope I didn't make the blogger's panel sound that negative. It wasn't my intention. Thanks for the correction on the number of questions were answered. I hope that you'll do a similar panel next year for NYAF/NYCC, I think it's a great idea for a panel.

I think Ed Chavez has a nice sarcastic grin in that picture. Of course, I was there and know what was going on when I took the picture. I'm sorry the picture brings you down.

At Bloggers Roundtable we also asked about the con going experience and what you expect next year at NYAF. But yes the amount of people was unwieldy, hopefully we can pull it together for another con sometime in the future with a better focus. Thanks for participating, even if it was flawed, I think everyone had a good time doing it.

Tim,

With NYAF & NYCC being combined next year, it looks like a good deal for the money. The problem will be which panels and guest you can fit into one weekend.

Great round up Ed, combined with everyone's tweets almost feels like I was there :)

Looks like, after talking with the better half, we *might* make it over from the UK next year to check it out....fingers crossed!

Jan,

Unfortunately not. We were all so worried about gettting con photos we didn't take one of ourselves just hanging out. Sorry.

Thanks, Ed. Enjoyed reading your recap a lot and seeing the photos. I want to see a photo of you with the gang I've read so much about. Did anyone take photos of you all together?

(Grammar awful, but you get the gist.)
