James, I think this line of short cartoons is part of a lower-priced line of releases, or at least less than Disney’s normal Feature releases. And I don’t think Disney has tried any lower-priced Blu-Ray releases yet. And yes, Thom, all of these cartoons HAVE been previously released on both DVD and VHS in the past.

Cool, I haven’t seen the Christmas Carol toon in years! It was actually my first exposure to characters like Scrooge when I was a youngster.

Surprising to se it not available on Blue-Ray though, given the company’s big push for that format. (I have one, so I always pay attention to that these days)

I love “Mickey’s Christmas Carol” (I fondly remember seeing it as a tyke when The Rescuers were in theaters). However, I agree that it was a little rushed. Still, Uncle Scrooge is the star (despite the title), and anything with Uncle Scrooge is immediately awesome. The Life & Times of Scrooge McDuck, DuckTales, that relatively new CGI Disney Christmas special … all AWESOME!

Hmmmm….the Mickey’s Christmas Carol looks like fancier packaging reissue of a DVD I already own with all the same features. Saved myself some dollars there. :)
