Hey, any idea where I would be able to get hold of one of these? I don’t mind too much about the artwork, I like the story and I don’t see it being scanlated or being released in the UK any time soon.

Oh, hey, I’ve got the badly Anglicized version! I purchased it from a bookstore which claimed to have a copy in stock on the original release date, but I didn’t manage to find it in the store until a couple of weeks later. The lettering is seriously embarrassing — even fan s’lators would feel bad about the persistent and ugly replacement of script with a really nasty and badly-aligned sans-serif. I just assumed it was part of Del-Rey’s continued effort to produce a product as close to the illicit versions as possible. But maybe I just got that impression because Stephen Paul, known s’lation translator, is credited on the very first page of the book.

Well, this is enough of a reason for me to buy it a second time. Now my first will be a collectors item. I think a lot of us thought it would be a smaller change, like what was proposed here:

I don’t like the look of the Anglicizing. I’m glad they ditched it and keep the original kanji. I can’t tell if it’s the scan, but the Anglicized artwork is much darker and some of the details are hard to see.
