Over at the Westfield Comics site, KC recommends Bloom County: The Complete Library Volume One. It’s a comprehensive piece that looks at the history of the strip, including how many of the comics now collected haven’t been reprinted before.

KC also considers how a successful comic strip develops, including charting missteps and cast changes until just the right combination appears. I learned a lot, and it made me want to dive right into reading the book. Thankfully, KC’s now done with it!
