Ed,
Of course, Irvine has never been found - just his ice pick. Perhaps life WILL reflect the fiction in time! Best, Stephen Robson, Fanfare

Stephen,

The timing of the novel is spooky. I had assumed that the novel came out after Mallory's had been found in 1999. Now I'm interested to see how close Baku's novel was to what eventually happened. Thanks for brining in that historical perspective. Look forward to volume 2.

Ed,
Lovely review thanks even with the "mistakes" which I leave to the individual reader to decide. As I delved into this story myself at edit stage the most scary part was the chronology. Baku wrote his story between 1994 and 1997 based around the idea that the old Kodak Fukamachi finds in a Nepalese junk store was the one Mallory always took on expeditions with him and that it MAY hold the secret of whether Mallory and Irvine actually made the summit. When Mallory's body finally turned up two years later after 75 years on the mountain - there was no camera on him! Now read on...Volume 2 is in edit, apologies for our tardiness.
