I think the key here is Disney/Hyperion.  Remember that they bought Crossgen primarily for Abadazad and then abandoned that property after two volumes in the US and three in the UK. Like most mainstream publishers these days, they are in it for the megahit. If you aren&#039;t going to become the next Bone or Percy Jackson, they really aren&#039;t interested.  And unfortunately for Soo, the rights to those works are now going to be controlled by a company not known for playing fair with letting works go out of their control, although most book contracts do have reversion clauses to the author.

and yes, this is the publishing arm of the company that just bought Marvel.  I certainly hope there&#039;s some decision-making firewalls for Marvel like DC had at Time-Warner that lets them be a comic publisher and not part of their trade book publishing arm.]]></description>
