Re: Titans: you know, as repetitive as the Lee/Kirby “everyone announces who they are in the third person and then shows off their powers in the first few pages” formula certainly made for accessibility to casual readers.

I read Red Tornado #5, and found it weak, as you did,

I didn’t read House of Mystery #21 because #20 was a perfect jumping off point. 20 issues of random weird stuff happening that might or might not be related to a whole story…I thought I was stuck in a David Lynch movie.

The way they kept talking about the names of Red Tornado’s “siblings” in the solicits, I really thought we’d end up with a character named Red Tomato before this was all over.
