The Escapist is holding a webcomic contest in order to find a webcomic to run twice a week on their website. I don’t know why they didn’t just open things up for submissions instead of casting it as a contest, since the prize is the chance to negotiate a contract with them. No word on compensation as part of the rules, but they’re looking for a logo and four sample strips that “capture and celebrate the contemporary video gaming lifestyle”. No nudity, sex, ads, or copyrighted material. Submissions are due by February 28 with winner announced the next week. If none are good enough, no prize will be awarded.
