Warner Home Video has released the following clip in which Lex Luthor (voiced by Chris Noth) explains the premise of Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, due out on February 23.
Man, that…that does not look good. The animation seemed like a throwback to the kind of cheap stuff you’d see in superhero cartoons before Batman: The Animated Series raised the bar for everything. (Notice how they “animate” Lex walking by having him bob unconvincingly up and down behind J’onn and then abruptly stop as he comes out from behind him.) And while it’s just a short clip, the voice acting seemed pretty old-school (i.e., cheesy) as well. Combine it with the fact that there are dozens of lower-tier DC characters who deserve a showcase far more than we need yet another Justice League story, and this looks completely inessential.
