I got the impression that it was a relatively faithful sequel, but I would really like to hear from someone who’s seen this, the first movie, and the TV show to see if that’s accurate.

I was underwhelmed by the first film — the cartoon is so much better done, IMO — that when I came across this at CostCo on Sunday I never remotely considered getting it for my boys. But it sounds like it’s at least worth a rental . . .

Although generally a little bit of Will Ferrell goes a long way with me, much to my surprise I kinda enjoyed the 2006 film…the updated character design style and animation looked nice, the story went down smoothly, and I really enjoyed the soundtrack, especially the songs by Jack Johnson.
