Jack Kirby’s The Losers

In his latest Westfield column, KC recommends Jack Kirby’s The Losers, which reprints the master’s work from Our Fighting Forces #151-162. In KC’s writeup, I learned a lot about these characters, their prior history, and their three (!) deaths. In fact, it made me want to read the earlier Kanigher stories. While Kirby’s work sounds very imaginative, I have a hard time reconciling the strengths of his style with war stories. I guess I should check out the book to see for myself, hunh?
