I would go so far as to say The Muppet Show is the best monthly serialized comic of at least the past decade. Langridge’s talent absolutely astounds me.

The “Skeeter not being named” thing was mentioned during Boom!’s c2e2 panel. It was both mysterious and amusing.

I’ve been happily surprised at just how much fun the Muppet Show comic has been. I didn’t think it would adapt well to comics at all; but good reviews of the first issue got me to try it and I’ve been enjoying it ever since.

I didn’t even notice that either! I just thought “Oh, that’s Skeeter” and Amy even did a quick Skeeter sketch for my wife at C2E2. These rights issues are so conufsing sometimes, though I’d think that if it were a rights issue they wouldn’t be able to show her at all, and not just not call her by name? I don’t know, I’m not very well versed in issues like this.

DYN they never say Skeeter’s name, she’s just “Scooter’s sister”? Made me wonder if there’s a trademark snag somewhere, since Muppet Babies was a different production company than The Muppet Show. (Course, if memory serves, that was Marvel Productions, which would presumably now be a Disney property, same as the Muppets…)

I definitely agree with your comments about The Muppet Show comic. My wife has been picking them up for as long as they’ve been coming up, and we even snagged the C2E2 version of #4 which has the Muppets at a Cubs game on the cover. The Muppet Show is a lot like Tiny Titans; an awesome all-ages comic that doesn’t dumb itself down like a lot of kids books seem to do.
