Monday Morning LinkBlogging

I enjoy reading the architecture photo blog Scouting NY (by a film location scout), but today’s post is particularly special: it covers 225 Lafayette Street, the former home of EC Comics and Mad magazine. The writer talks a good deal about the publication’s history and what the magazine meant to him, including favorite cartoons, with specific focus on Mad‘s mentions of New York City.

Kim De Vries posts at Sequential Tart a writeup of a talk by Trina Robbins and Mike Madrid; she covered women in comics as creators and audience, while he discussed female characters.

Julia at Retconned Fangirl posts her thoughts on our Free Comic Book Day caravan. It’s great to see a new customer’s opinions of various stores for a fresh viewpoint.
