I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who noticed the anachronistic gartered stockings. I really didn't care for this comic adaptation, which is strange because I loved the book P&P&Z. In the book, it was mostly hilarious because the author was paying homage to the Austen book by seamlessly incorporating zombies, using most of the the original text. It was an affectionate tongue-in-cheek homage. But in the comic, I never got a sense of affection toward the source material. It's all identical hot chicks fighting zombies. Which I'm not turning my nose up at, that stuff has its place... It just was not the appropriate choice for this particular story that has long been loved by a largely female audience that seems forgotten here.

I was surprised to see that this book (in novel form) has a sequel, but it's written by someone else, because Grahame-Smith went to do Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter.
