I saw some Dorothy issues displayed on a table at the local (Phoenix) comic con last week. But I can’t remember if they were there as a publisher or creator.

There is also “Alice in Mobland” by TRIBE Comics. Though after the name, it seems a generic Fantasy/Crime mash-up. (And it features a Scarecrow, so even more Wonderland/Oz crosspollination.)

Chas, that’s a cool reminder, though. I wonder whatever happened to that company? (Probably figured out they weren’t making enough money and went to something that had a better return on investment than comics. :) )

SK, I mentioned Wonderland in the post above, as a story extension. But that’s another interesting Alice/Dorothy connection.

Just remembered that Slave Labor put out a book a few years back called simply “Wonderland” which was done as a sequel to the Disney movie. Sonny Liew’s drawing style and character designs from this book were blatantly aped for Marvel’s “Wonderful Wizard of Oz” book from last year.

I found Illusive Arts’ “Dorothy” to be an interesting experiment, definitely never thought I would be enjoying a photo comic, but it was pretty good. Definitely some beautiful pages in that one.

The seven issues they published were pretty slow paced, so even if it had continued, I don’t think I would have kept up with it due to cost reasons. But still, glad I read what did come out.

I noticed the popularity of Alice retellings last summer and started writing a series of posts on various adaptations, but I haven't gotten very far. What I have is here. To your list, I can add Pandora Hearts, which features a male protagonist; a one-chapter side story of Ouran High School Host Club; and a full-colour, one-volume, straight retelling by Kinoshita Sakura. There are some other series that you could argue just reference Alice, such as Black Butler, which features a White Queen (Victoria), a Red Queen (as in drag) and so on. I can't remember any more off the top of my head, but there are a lot floating around.

The Steve Englehart/Frank Brunner Silver Dagger/Dr. Strange story collected in the book “A Separate Reality” has Alice-like sequences, including Doc meeting a hookah-smoking caterpillar.
For straight adaptations, I really like the Classics Illustrated version Kyle Baker did.

Off the top of my head, there’s… Four Color’s adaptation of Disney’s movie adaptation, an Alice-inspired romp through Wonderland with St. Nick in Santa Claus Funnies #2, an Oz/Wonderland mash-up style story from Arrow Comics entitled simply Wonderland, the cheesecake-filled Return to Wonderland sequel-type stories from Zenescope, The Oz-Wonderland War featuring Capt. Carrot and the Zoo Crew, the Oz/Wonderland/Neverland online comic by Andy Weirc called Cheshire Crossing, the Oz/Wonderland/Neverland/Narnia mashup called The Oz/Wonderland Chronicles, and the Wonderland/Pinocchio/Treasure Island/Pied Piper/etc. mashup called Lullaby. Naturally, of course, and there’s the DC villain called the Mad Hatter who’s obviously inspired by Carroll’s tale and Marvel has a character by the name of White Rabbit.

And, of course, like you said, there are any number of straight retellings of the original story.
