Sun, 06 Jun 2010 16:00:14 +0000 http://comicsworthreading.com/?p=12758#comment-112099 We have several of these on previous DVDs, and my (nearly) 5 year old and I love watching them, but I have to say that the First Kiss special makes me just as angry now as it did when I was a kid, since in no way is the loss of the big game Charlie Brown’s fault, yet he’s even more the goat than usual. Hell, I’m getting mad now just thinking about it!

I find the Arbor Day special to be surprising, though. While it does seem an odd choice for a focus, it’s actually pretty good, thanks to the baseball stuff, Rerun (who’s been a favorite of mine since The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show on Saturday mornings in the 80s), and some particularly good writing for Sally. Easily dismissed, I suppose, but definitely worth watching.
