Style Weekly, the alternative weekly newspaper in Richmond, Virginia, is holding a “comic strip sweepstakes“.

The winner will receive $100 in art supplies and be printed in the upcoming Comic Strip Issue, scheduled for July 21. Strips must be Richmond-related and are due by July 12. Full rules are in the link.

It’s a minor contest, but I’m intrigued to see what the focus issue looks like.
