Charming Bookseller Comic

I love this wonderful comic about a bookseller and an old customer called Mister Bookseller. It’s probably posted illegally, since I couldn’t find much explanation for it, and what references I did find were to the now-defunct Scans_Daily on LiveJournal. The strip is by Darko Macan (site in Croatian) and Tihomir Celanovic; I don’t know who translated it into English. But I found its treatment of book memory both bittersweet and wistfully nostalgic.
Update: If that site is down, here are two others with the whole comic posted.

Bandwidth exceeded, but I remember this from the old S_D comm. Beautiful little tale — bibliophiles should have a Kleenex handy.

Thanks for pointing that out — I’ve added two other sources for the comic.

This is one of these things that I hoped would increase the rate of Euro-scanlations in the same vein as Japanese comics. After all, Manga didn’t start to get popular until multiple books were available online. There’s literally TONS of European comics that would be popular over here if people were more aware of them.
Frankly, if there ever was a time that a group of French publishers banded together to stop the flow of illegally tranlated Eurocomics, that would be a sign of victory & defeat.
I’ll be posting my thoughts about this on my blog later.
