Hmm. It’s inevitable.in the 1970s Scooby Doo Movies,Scooby Doo ran into Batman twice,and in The Haunted Riverboat,Josie and The Pussycats.Also,wasn’t Archie’s superhero alterego Captain Trueheart?Wouldn’t that make a better story?

I even know why the Scooby gang would be in Riverdale. Shaggy would be competing in the hamburger eating contest for charity. Jughead would also be competing and it’d be a cosponsored event from Mr. Lodge and Daphne’s rich parents.

A so called ghost from a past competition (got disqualified because he didn’t eat the pickles and always swore revenge) would steal the charity money. Causing the two groups to join together to solve the mystery, and get the money back for the charity!

The closest DC came to crossing over with Archie was when Archie did it with Marvel first. (Archie meets Punisher anybody?)

Then there’s the less-popular heroes, the Mighty Crusaders, which DC picked up the license, despite them being total unknowns to John Q. Public. Go ahead, ask any child if they know who The Fly, Fly Girl, The Shield, Jaguar, Steel Sterling, Captain Flag, The Comet, Firefly and The Fox are.

Be VERY surprised if any child actually cares.

Interesting…. I’m sure it will be fun.

Personally the ideal teamup though, would be the Scooby Doo and Archie.

Well, Archie recently licensed their old MLJ/”Red Circle” superhero characters for DC to publish in a line of new stories, so maybe this use of their flagship character was partially fueled by that?
