MGM and Rubicon Studios have announced a new Pink Panther Christmas special is in production.
The half-hour A Very Pink Christmas puts the panther in competition with his arch-nemesis, Big Nose, as they operate adjacent Christmas tree lots and try to outsell each other. Unfortunately, it won’t be out this year, but will air worldwide during the 2011 holidays.
I didn’t realize that there was a new Panther series. Pink Panther & Pals, also produced by Rubicon, features a young Panther and started airing on the Cartoon Network earlier this year. This Christmas special, however, stars the original, adult Pink Panther.
