Warner Home Video has released the box art, shown here, and information on the special features included in the Blu-ray Combo Pack for Green Lantern: Emerald Knights.

Those extras will be:

  • The movie itself, about 75 minutes long, with its six interlocking stories, on both Blu-ray and DVD
  • A digital copy of the movie
  • Audio commentary by Dan DiDio and Geoff Johns (I’m very curious to see how informative/entertaining that is, or how often they make comparisons to the comics)
  • A sneak peek at the next DC Universe animated movie, Batman: Year One
  • A behind-the-scenes look at All-Star Superman, the previous animated DC DVD
  • “Only the Bravest: Tales of the Green Lantern Corps”, a featurette that “reveals and defines the bond that holds together the Green Lanterns’ affection for the ring, and the ring’s unwavering loyalty in return”
  • “Why Green Lantern Matters: The Talent of Geoff Johns”, a featurette about the Chief Creative Officer of DC Entertainment and his “fresh and vibrant storytelling perspective” in which he “discusses his contemporary take on the Green Lantern character and why that character resonates in our culture”
  • “Pod: From Comic Book to Screen: Abin Sur”, described as an on-screen excerpt from Geoff Johns’ Green Lantern Secret Origin book
  • “Pod: Beautiful … But Deadly — From Comic Book to Screen: Laira Omoto”, a “mini-featurette” introducing “one of the Green Lantern Corps’ fiercest warriors” (but it’s ok, guys, she’s still pretty, as pointed out in the title!)
  • A digital Green Lantern comic book (which hopefully displays more in a more readable format than the one used for All-Star Superman
  • Two TV cartoon episodes

It appears that there may not be a special edition DVD. Amazon doesn’t have a listing for a two-disc special edition that I could find, only offering a standard DVD with the special features listed as “Sneak Peek at upcoming DC Universe animated movie” and “Sneak Peek at All-Star Superman“. But with only a five-dollar difference between the two, which shrinks to $2.50 with Amazon discounting, it’s hard not to upgrade, unless you don’t yet have a Blu-ray player.

Green Lantern: Emerald Knights will be available on June 7, a week and a half before the live-action movie opens in theaters on June 17.
