Tron was an amazing movie. The acting was decent and the special effects were dazzling. I saw Tron in theaters and the 3D affects were incredible. It is amazing what the computers and technology of today can accomplish. I believe the Tron will continue to entertain viewers with its amazing stunts, special effects, and acting for many generations to come.

I didn't hate it, but it was underwhelming. I would have liked to see Legacy introduce more esoteric concepts like the first one did, e.g the quasi-religious interactions of the programs and the users. Self-generated AIs was a nice start, but they didn't wind up doing anything with it. The seismic change of the internet was sadly left unexplored. I know it's a really tough challenge for a sequel to be innovative, but the first one set a very high bar in that regard. I'd consider a film like The Matrix more of a spiritual successor to Tron.

No, this Clu is a new version of the program, if I understood that right.

I don't understand why someone who liked the first would hate this one. What was the basis of the criticisms, do you know?

Great review. I'm waiting on Netflix before I buy it because I've heard some pretty scathing reviews from people that really enjoy the first one.

And I'm wondering if the Clu from this movie is the Clu from the first movie. Yes, we saw the first Clu derezed....or did we?
