I forgot to mention, I've also reviewed this for a professional library review journal, so we'll see if there's a library market for this volume.

Well, one thing about TwoMorrows readers (like me), they love reference material and are completists. I know a few guys who aren't fans of Smith planning to buy this volume for just that reason.

I liked Smiths Shazam stuff, but over all I'm not a fan of his work and don't plan on buying this for all the reasons in the editors introduction (which just goes to show that TwoMorrows knows it's audience);)

Oh, good point -- I hadn't thought about how long a period over which the books came out, and how that affects the younger generations.

There is some art from the movie, but the captions gave me the idea that it was abandoned as an idea.

At a guess, the typical TwoMorrows reader, while generally a superhero fan, probably knows and loves Bone and is interested in seeing more of Smith's work.

As for younger readers, I suppose it depends on how young. Your average 8-year-old probably won't want to pore through all the text, but Smith's got teenage fans who might be interested in it (and will have more when/if the movie finally comes out).

I've got a cousin -- he's almost 17 now but he read Bone when he was 11 or 12 and has devoured everything he's seen Smith do since. There are probably other kids his age who would like this book, though I'm not sure how large an audience they are.
