Andy Luke (writer) and Stephen Downey (artist) have created Absence, a comic about Luke’s experiences having epilepsy.

You can read the entire 20-page book online at the link, or it’s available as a free app for iPads, or downloadable as a PDF from the website. It incorporates educational facts about the disorder with Luke’s memories about seizures and the reactions of those around him. It’s a great starting point to learn more about the condition.
