Ralf, the second episode, “The Blind Banker”, was written by Steve Thompson, who seems to be beloved of British TV creators but I also find disappointing. He also wrote the recent pirate episode of Doctor Who from a couple of weeks ago.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about this show. I’m definitely picking it up, and the wife and I are huge Sherlock fans.

I enjoyed the initial Study in Scarlet episode a lot, but was extremely disappointed in the second. I don’t have a good memory of the third, but the feeling of the second probably bled into my perception of that one. Despite my mixed reaction to the first season, the reimagined Holmes and Watson showed such promise that I am looking forward to the second season.
