I’d say Tomar-Re is my favorite Green Lantern, next to Hal of course.

Greg writes:

Mogo is my favorite.

Darcy writes:

I’m really doing this for my husband who is a huge GL fan. His favorite is Kyle, since Kyle really didn’t have the benefit of having an organization to help him out; it became a personal metaphor as he was starting his own business.

David Oakes writes:

I would love to not socialize with Mogo. And I am obliged as a Math Teacher to give a shout out to Dkrtzy RRR. But in the end, my absolute favorite Green Lantern is Chaselon.

The idea of putting a mohawk on a crystal is something only the Silver Age can do.

Izandra writes:

Probably John Stewart, from JL:TAS. I really enjoy the DC animated universe series, even over the comics.

Joe Palmer writes:

I really liked the idea of Rond Vidar being a Green Lantern in the 31st century, when at the time in print, Green Lanterns were banned from Earth.

John Taber writes:

Definitely Kilowog. I’m into the strong types. :)

Amongst them all, my oldest daughter’s favorite is Jade. She is the GL fan.

Eric writes:

Kilowog.

Betenoire writes:

Kyle, though post Warrior Guy Gardner moved up the chart significantly for me as a character.

Sigma7 writes:

Ch’p is a close second with Jack T. Chance a distant third, but I have to agree with the masses: Mogo rules. (Does Rot Lop Fan even count?)

James Schee writes:

Kyle Rayner, honestly he was just such an interesting character and one of the few comic book characters that seemed like someone that if he was real would be fun to hang out with.

Kat Kan writes:

Hal Jordan. He was MY comic book hero when I was a kid, and I still like him very much.

Grant writes:

I’d have to say Guy Gardner. Mainly because I never really cared much about the character until the Giffen, De Matteis and Maguire Justice League era when Guy was a big deal.

John Mundt, Esq. writes:

Favorite Green Lantern? That’s a tough one. As a kid, I had a crush on Katma Tui, but, after a lifetime of comics reading and collecting, I would have to say that my favorite GL is the original, Alan Scott.

Brandon writes:

I have to go with Alan Scott. I’m stickin’ with the original one who wasn’t part of the Lantern Corp.

Andrew writes:

Hal Jordan has always been my favorite. He’s human, he makes mistakes, and has even gone bad, but at the end of the day he’s loyal, fearless, and just plain awesome.

Thanks for yet another great giveaway, Johanna! My favorite Green Lantern at this moment is G’nort, just because the first thing that popped into my head when I read this blog entry was this:

Steve writes:

My favorite GL is John Stewart, mostly because of the Justice League animated series (like Izandra said). They fleshed him out nicely there, especially the relationship they developed between him and Hawkgirl.

Steely Dan writes:

Alan Scott.

James Youngblood writes:

John Stewart

Tomar-Re

My favorite is John Stewart, and like some others, it is because of the animated Justice League series.

Hal jordan is my favorite Green Lantern

I favor the Legion whenever possible, so Rond Vidar is my pick.

Santiago Casares writes:

Hal Jordan (before all of that Parallax/reboots)

Ali Kokmen writes:

I’m gonna put in a word for Arkkis Chummuck. His alien sense of honor demands he eat fallen foes–a bit of genuinely alien alienness–which I always thought a cool concept, especially in the days before ST:TNG made alien honor codes a more familiar bit of pop culture storytelling.

hardtravelinghero writes:

Kyle Raynor. I always imagined Jeremy Sisto from Six Feet Under playing him in a movie for some reason.

Man, I really don’t understand Twitter, but here’s the link anyway: https://twitter.com/#!/hardtraveling/status/78328434241191936

Jessica C. writes:

My favorite Green Lantern is Kyle Rayner, I love how he is so creative because he’s an artist!

Kam D writes:

I’ll have to go with Hal Jordan. He’s the original (more or less).

Hal Shipman writes:

I liked the Rond Vidar reveal, but now that we have Mon-el, my all-time favorite character as a GL, he automatically wins as fave GL as well. Though I really hate his GL costume.

Stephen N. writes:

Tomar-Re because he is kick-ass

Johanna writes:

Thank you all very much for entering and for reading the site. I’ve emailed the winner.

It’s great seeing how many different Green Lanterns there are, and hearing your reasons for picking the ones you did!
