It’s about time “The Jetsons Meet The Flintstones” made it onto DVD. I would have loved to have seen some extras thrown in, such as a feature-length documentary telling how the movie came about as well as audio commentary and perhaps some new direct-to-DVD episodes of the Flintstones and Jetsons. Maybe Warner will do it in the Blu-Ray edition…

I always liked this film, too. (“So this is an automobile; I read all about them in ancient history…” Sounds like a line one’d hear on “Star Trek” :-p ) Glad to see it’s on *finally* on DVD, though would’ve thought it’d be on a regular retail release given it’s two of HB’s biggest stars…

Re: when in the past it takes place: I always figured it might’ve taken place *after* the kids grew up and went off to college, given how much Elroy’s Stone Age outfit looks like some of Bamm-Bamm’s old clothes. That, and (not mentioned in the article) the Flintstones’ next appearance (excluding “The Flintstone Kids”) was in the 90s TV-movie “I Yabba Dabba Do”, about the wedding of the now-adult Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm…
