It is difficult, especially for young publishers, I think, to judge paper look based on seeing on-screen (and vice versa). I haven’t actually seen Princeless in print, so I’m sorry to hear the printing wasn’t as good as hoped.

Wow! I just clicked over here from your review of #2 and can’t believe how vibrant the colors on those sample pages are. Of course the computer screen brightens things up, but like I said in my comment on that post I was disappointed by the muddy printing and dark coloring; I had no idea there was pink in the book. I still recommend #1, and based on that the rest of the miniseries, but I sure hope that the collected edition will be brighter.

As a school librarian, I definitely want to see a collection of this miniseries! I’ll definitely be pre-ordering it for myself, and to test it with my students. I’m always on the lookout for great comics that kids can enjoy, and especially that feature girls who DO things.
