Watched this last night finally, and was impressed by the additional scenes. They were all early in the movie, the scene between Hal's Dad and mom and him skipping school and meeting with Carol and Hector early on. Plus the scene with his nephew in the bedroom were extended as well, I actually thought that his scenes with his family were really good and should have been expanded on.

The alley scene has me scratching my head as it REALLY makes Hal look like a bad guy. The guys feeling like he'd cost them their jobs hit him first sure, but they didn't do any real damage and were walking away. If he didn't kill them, he at least put them all in the hospital.

It plus the scene where he let Carol be taken out, I guess because she was mean to him before the flight were weird setups for making someone like a character. Like Tom said if being worthy is alien for asshole, than year Hal fit the bill then.:)

I liked the movie overall, but there were some plot holes a mile wide with Parallax. If Hal had such an easy time damaging him and dragging him around... why did an army of GLs who had way more experience have such a hard time for instance?

Extras were interesting, like to see everyone stop patting Geoff's back a little though he's going to get bruised. With DC's push to get their comics in new peoples hands, I think they missed a chance to do a promo pushing their GL books. I would have done a big program talking with the creators on the current GL books, talking about who was starring and what's going on and ended it sorta of like the old GI Joe commercials to maybe push someone to see what happens next.

But nope they focus on what was so great about a story that's already... what 6 years old?
