Add another example to the list of rock/comic connections. The band Window Seats put together this video, set in a comic book shop, for their song “Local Superhero”. As the band members turn into Spider-Man, Wolverine, and the Hulk, we also see references to Ghostbusters, Star Wars, and that classic A-Ha video for “Take on Me”.
I’m told that the band designed and built the comic book store set from scratch, with the help of 36 artists and prop makers based in Northern Ireland, and it took a total of 10 months. The video was directed by Belfast-based film company Scattered Images. You can get this song, along with others, online for free at the band’s website.
