I read the book years ago. In fact, I started it on a flight from London to New York, having just ridden the tube for the first (and only) times in my life. So it was certainly interesting reading a fantasy kind of set in that world.

At about that same time, I found the book adaptation at a second hand store for a dollar, so I bought it and read it too. I figured I might as well complete the trifecta and rent the DVD; I didn’t like this one quite so much, the acting was so-so and the low budget really hampered the visuals. That’s the way it goes sometimes. I still highly recommend that Carey/Fabry limited series, though.
