Glee on Sesame Street
January 30, 2012

I was recording Downton Abbey last night, so when I woke up this morning, the TV was still tuned to PBS. That’s how I stumbled across this genius sketch on Sesame Street.

Someone behind Sesame Street must be a Glee fan, because I was impressed by how much they got right: Rachel, Kurt, Mercedes, Artie, Mr. Schuester, Sue Sylvester, Brittany and the Cheerios… And they tackle a complicated point, that the letter G can sound like both guh and juh. Educational AND entertaining! And very up-to-date and relevant. Love Rachel smacking the others with her hair!

Yeah, I saw this online back in October (and wrote up a quick post, too). Rachel’s lines amidst the crowd noise at the start might be the funniest part. Sesame Street has done some really clever parodies.
